Our vision is to make Brent a great place to live and work, where people feel that they have opportunities to change their lives for the better.
Welcome from Carolyn Downs, Chief Executive
Thank you for taking the time to look at this exciting opportunity with London Borough of Brent.
Not only are we the centre of national and international events being the home of Wembley Stadium but we are the London Borough of Culture for 2020. We are also proud to have the most diverse population of any Borough in London. Embracing diversity and equality is a touchstone of our Councils ethos. Our vision is to make Brent a great place to live and work.
Like many areas and public organisations, we face significant challenges and the role you are interested in will be key to helping us navigate our way through. Helping us to realise Brent’s economic potential; and helping us to deliver vital frontline services while reducing our impact on the environment.
You will be key members of the Council Management Team, working with me and colleagues to chart the future direction of the council and manage one of the largest councils in the country.
Brent is ‘powered by people’ we have achieved all we have through strong political and senior management leadership, ambition, creative thinking, partnership working and sheer passion for what we do.
This is a high profile role which requires considerable political interaction so you will need to be skilled and responsive in working with members and at pace.
I do hope after looking at the wide range of background information on this website you’ll be inspired to apply.
